Who we are

The Geis group has its headquarters in Bad Neustadt in Germany. Its history started to unfold as far back as 1945, when Hans Geis founded the transport company. Over the course of its existence it has developed into a global provider of complex logistics services. The group has been owned and run by the Geis family for its whole existence. Today it employs around 6100 people in 127 branches and in 2020 its turnover was over 1 billion Euros.

The group owns companies in Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

The main activity areas of the group are

• Road Services (pallet/unit and full-truck loads)
• Logistics Services (contract logistics, packaging production)
• Air+Sea Services (air and sea transport, special transport projects)

Geis in Hungary

From summer 2021, Geis is also present in the important growth market of Hungary at the Vecses location near Budapest with a logistics and distribution centre. There, Geis provides a leading manufacturer of brake systems for rail vehicles with a wide range of highly efficient services in the field of warehouse logistics as well as additional special services. We see this project as a first step in an important new market. The goal is to gain further customers and projects in Hungary and to open additional locations. The spectrum is to be expanded beyond warehouse logistics to include transport services in the areas of land transport as well as air, sea and rail transport. In the course of this growth, Geis offers a variety of attractive and sustainable jobs for the people of Hungary at the Vecses location and in the future at other locations as well.
